It’s not often that students who studied for a British degree in Malta join with their peers from London, Dubai and Mauritius in what can truly be termed a global graduation event!
On Thursday
16th July Middlesex University's School of Science & Technology
held a graduation ceremony in London attended by students who had completed
their degrees on the University's campuses around the world.
Denise
Tabone, a graduate of MSc Business Information Systems Management from Malta,
said: "Visiting the campus in London was such an amazing experience! You feel
proud to form part of such an impressive University. To see all the students
graduating and all the academics present during the ceremony really makes you
feel part of something bigger, it just adds so much value to the University experience".
Professor Martin
Loomes, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the School of Science and Technology,
gave an opening speech congratulating the graduates on their achievements and
encouraging them to forge ahead and apply their knowledge and skills within
today's industry. He also encouraged the graduates to keep in touch by joining
and contributing their news to the ever-growing Alumni Association – an
international community of scholars which extends around the globe.
The ceremony
was followed by a reception at which students could purchase Middlesex memorabilia,
enjoy some light refreshment and pose for photos with their families and friends.
A great experience for all our #MDXAlumni!
